Sumner Place evolved
Sumner Place began to take shape following a study of the land and meeting with site neighbors, community members, elected officials and planning staff. Currently zoned for Commercial Retail (CR), many of our neighbors have voiced opposition to a traffic-generating large strip center as allowed for the site.
Through community input, what began as a means to bring much-needed and high-in-demand new housing options to the city has transformed into a new residential/commercial community. As proposed, Sumner Place residences will feature:
- Seven two- to three-level residential buildings
- 98 one-bedroom units
- 96 two-bedroom units
- 22 two-bedroom townhomes
